Orphanage Movement isn’t a crew, it’s a legacy.
About us
Orphanage Movement originated as a dance crew with the desire to bring Hip-Hop artists together. We have grown into a community of artists through creative partnerships, and a shared passion for dance. Our members come from various backgrounds, regions, and training styles.
Orphanage Movement was founded in 1999, and became a unity of crews and individuals alike. It has become a space for dancers to grow in their practice through exploration of various arts and styles.
While the membership of Orphanage Movement is constantly evolving, the mission remains the same: to support the growth of artists through inclusion and guidance. What started as a crew has become a multi-generational community, a movement, and a legacy.

Community
Inclusion as a social practice is one of the founding values of Orphanage Movement and guides everything from our mission, to our structure and daily workings. We specialize in creating productive environments where artists can thrive individually and collectively.
-

Creativity
We encourage artists to explore various styles, think outside-the-box and find unique sources of inspiration for their talent.
-

Collaboration
We encourage dancers to learn from each other, push each other, and work together, using this collaborative as a source of inspiration
